Managing trade effluent should start in the places  where the effluent is produced. Treating effluent can lead to substantial savings and operational efficiencies but treatment isn't always the best solution. Our trade effluent audits include a site visit where we conduct an exhaustive survey of how effluent is produced. This often leads to recommendations about how improving effluent management can solve compliance problems, reduce disposal costs and, as several of our clients have discovered, avoid prosecution.

Our audits include extensive analysis of effluent flow and composition data as well as evaluation of existing effluent infrastructure and treatment systems. This helps clients to develop prioritised and focused plans for future optimisation and investment.

While treatment is often needed, auditing a site helps to understand the scope and extent of future work and it helps to pinpoint opportunities for optimising existing processes, procedures and systems before committing to expenditure on treatment systems. And in many cases an audit can uncover solutions that fulfil a client's needs without the need for large-scale investment.
