Rainwater harvesting can be used on any type of building. We've carried out rainwater audits on large office blocks, small restaurants and major manufacturing sites. In each case the end result was a detailed and quantified evaluation of the potential to capture and reuse rainwater.
Our audits use a procedure that is based on BS 8515 but extends that to cover a more detailed analysis of rainfall data and reuse opportunities. We also deliver an outline design for a rainwater harvesting system along with estimated capital and installation costs for treatment systems.
All of our audits take full notice of water quality issues surrounding the treatment and reuse of rainwater and we also work with clients to develop rainwater and surface water management strategies.
Capturing and reusing rainwater is becoming increasingly important. It increases water efficiency, reduces consumption of mains water and increases sustainability. This is a real growth area for BWC and we'd be happy to help with any rainwater-related enquiries.
